Waste will be containerised in Sydney and delivered to Collex's Crisps Creek intermodal facility near Woodlawn by rail. Containers will be transferred from rail to road at Crisps Creek and transported by truck for the final 10 kilometres from Crisps Creek Intermodal to the Woodlawn site. This is the same process that is currently undertaken to deliver waste from Sydney to the Woodlawn Bioreactor landfill.

There will be a new access road into the Woodlawn site from Collector Road, to provide access to the Woodlawn Alternative Waste Technology facilities.

It is expected that, at maximum waste throughput, there will be up to 33 extra laden truck movements per day along Bungendore Road and Collector Road between Crisps Creek Intermodal facility and the Woodlawn site.

Analysis has shown that the roads and intersections involved have sufficient capacity to accommodate this extra traffic, and traffic and transport will be addressed in detail in the Environmental Assessment.
