Contaminated Land Management

Umwelt understands the regulatory and business drivers in the management of risk and capital value in regard to facility and asset contaminated land and hazardous material issues. Our engineers and scientists are fully qualified and have solid field, technical and project management experience in all aspects of contaminated site and hazardous material assessment, remediation and risk assessment. This experience has been applied to petroleum, landfill, industrial, private and government assets and facilities.

Our consulting and project services include:

  • All stages of contaminated site investigation and hazardous material surveys;

  • Health and environmental risk assessment and management plans in relation to contaminated land, hazardous materials and environments, dangerous goods and pollution control systems;

  • Project management of hydrological studies and design of permeable reactive barrier trench for the Australian Federal Government; and

  • Specification for hazardous material survey and remediation specification and contractor supervision of a series of environmentally sensitive and heritage listed Sydney Harbour island sites for the Australian Federal Government.
