Proudly supporting the Native Animal Trust Fund
As proud supporters of the Native Animal Trust Fund (NATF) Umwelt were pleased to attend the opening of the first ever NATF centre at the Shortland Wetlands. The centre will provide carers and trainers a place to work together as a group, to enable optimal care for rescued animals in a purpose built environment. As spoken by NATF President Jill Dean (pictured above) “The building has provided NATF with the opportunity for the community to experience the diversity of our Hunter Wildlife, to see the work of volunteers and to allow further community involvement”
14,000 animals are rescued each year by our local NATF, a staggering number. NATF hope that the centre will enable them to raise more awareness of their work, community engagement, additional volunteers and further local business support.
